It is my big pleasure to announced, that Capsella project (Collective Awareness PlatformS for Environmentally-sound Land management based on data technoLogies and Agrobiodiversity, H2020-ICT-2015, 688813, http://www.capsella.eu/) will join our team preparing MedHack http://www.medhackathon.eu/index.php.
Capsella will bring number of data sets and tools, which will be possible to use during Patras Hackathon.

FREME services: FREME provides a set of e-services for digital content enrichment. All the services are available through an open API http://api.freme-project.eu/doc/current/api-doc/full.html. Tutorials about how to use the services are available http://api.freme-project.eu/doc/current/. FREME framework is also available as open source software .
AGRIS Linked Open Data: This dataset include more than 8 millions bibliographic references for agricultural research. The SPARQL end point is http://202.45.139.84:10035/catalogs/fao/repositories/agris#query
CIARD RING (ring.ciard.info): registry of open datasets for agricultural and food sector. The registry can be also accessed using machine interface
Food safety alerts and recalls: More than 40.000 food safety notifications available through https://webgate.ec.europa.eu/rasff-window/portal/?event=SearchForm&cleanSearch=1#
Open Educational Resources: This end point includes more than 20.000 open educational resources related to agriculture and food topics http://api.akstem.com/search-api/.
AGROVOC: a semantic multilingual vocabulary for agricultural topics (http://aims.fao.org/vest-registry/vocabularies/agrovoc-multilingual-agricultural-thesaurus). It can be used to annotate resources and to connect them with other linked open data sources e.g. DBpedia. AGROVOC can be downloaded in RDF format from: https://aims-fao.atlassian.net/wiki/display/AGV/Releases
Foodborne outbreaks data from Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (https://data.cdc.gov/)
We believe, that due cooperation of number of European projects and communities MedHack will be unique opportunity to support building of Single European Data market. Hackathon could be unique possibilities for students to learn more about new trends, projects teams to combine valuable results from different projects and areas, for end users to find future solution, but also for investors to look for new ideas.
