Other focus during Hackathon was on developing Mobile Apps, which will collect  data using SensLog VGI API.  Our colleagues Simon Leitgeb with Michal Kepka (Mike) worked remotely on this application.

The HSLCollector apps’ primary function is to let the user collect measurements on the go – points, lines and polygons by tapping into the map or using GPS. It’s possible to attach photos and attributes to the features. The user can then send the result to a remote server to store and possibly share his work with others.

The app is built on top of the HSLayers-NG framework (based on OpenLayers 3) using Apache Cordova that packages HTML, CSS and JavaScript code and runs the result on a smartphone. Various plugins were used to achieve the current functionality and many more new features will be coming soon.
