The first release a new Android app has been successfully rolled out to Google Play (
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sdi4apps.spoi&hl=en ) which is the next iteration in the POI oriented app series. It is featuring a dynamically loaded layer list from SPOI data set, which is based on Linked data principles and contains over 27 million Points of Interest important for tourism from around the world.
The previous pilot version was “Cēsis Smart POI” which was focused on a municipality in Latvia but this time the application has a global reach. The map will be centered on users
current location on startup and editing of POI data has been reworked too.
