In the spirit of the previous post, the one calling you to action to develop Map Composition creation and visualization features in QGIS, we allow ourselves to add another suggestion.
Three words: “Leaflet, Map Compositions”.
Leaflet isn’t our beloved OpenLayers – it isn’t big – it isn’t built solely around the concepts of the OGC or of the ‘professional’ GIS protocols and formats. Leaflet is however fast, elegant, compact and wildly popular.
We’d like to see a plugin to Leaflet, enabling it to visualize Map Compositions. This would bring Map Compositions to a vastly greater audience — one that also extends beyond the GIS crowd…
See you all in Barcelona, until then… Toodel-pip.
